Troop October Backpacking Trip

The Greenbar has scheduled the October camp-out to be a backpacking trip to the Crabtree Falls area. This is one of the Scouts favorites year in and year out so plan to attend! For more information click on the links below.

Troop 103 Parents Meeting

The Adult leadership of Troop 103 has tentively scheduled a all parents meeting on Monday evening September 22nd. Please check back as we will post more information when it becomes available.

BSA Scouting Program on the Outdoor Channel

The Outdoor Channel partners with Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and Boys' Life Magazine to develop the network's original youth-oriented series, Scouting for Adventure Presented by Boys' Life.

Troop 103 July 4th Photos

Troop 103 Equipment Inventory

The Troop is currently conducting an inventory of Troop gear. We need to identify all the gear and what condition it is in so we can plan to repair or replace as necessary. If your scout has any gear such as tents, shovels or dutch ovens please bring them to the next troop meeting and give them to Mr. Repeta. We are NOT looking to have chuck boxes turned in at this time. We are currently making new chuck boxes and will switch them out when completed.

Troop 103 Searches for a New Scoutmaster

As I'm sure you have heard Mr. Etchberger has decided to step down as the Troops Scoutmaster. In his place Mr. Coppinger has agreed to handle the responsibilities on an interim basis until a new Scoutmaster is found. The Troop Committee is currently working on possible candidates to fill the position. If you are interested or know someone that you think would excel at the position please contact Mr. Burns using the information below.

New BSA Uniform Coming

The Boy Scouts of America has developed a new scouting uniform that will be available for purchase this summer. To view more information regarding this please click on the link below.

2010 National Scouting Jamboree

The Colonial virginia Council is now taking reservations for the 2010 National Jamboree held at Fort A.P. Hill. This event will mark the 100 year anniversary of scouting in the United States and will be one for the memory books! The Council has only 144 slots available so you must sign up and put down a deposit quickly. For more information click on the links below.

Looking for Photos of Your Scout?

If you are interested in obtaining copies of pictures of your Scout possibly involved in a variety of different events you need to contact Mr. Laubach. As the Troop photogrpaher he has asked that any parent interested to give him a blank disk and the name of or picture of your son and he will search for pictures he has taken. If you would like more information contact Mr. Laubach at the next meeting!

Eagle Project Help

With all of the Scouts that have earned the rank of Eagle Scout within Troop 103 we are looking for some help. Mr Marty is compiling a list of projects as well as a few photos to build a historical database of some of the great work accomplished by our Scouts.
